OUR ROOMS

Our rooms, screaming with silence, provide you with nothing but comfort and relaxation. Giving you a calm and private stay is our goal.

MK 145 000

Nyabufu (suite) 47.25 ㎡

Initially built for our house help, the design took on an unexpected architecture. Supported by steelworks, basement storerooms were constructed beneath it taking advantage of the enormous slope of the site, affording the finished house with uninterrupted scenic views of part of Zomba town and beyond. This finished structure underwent a major transformation to create the current suite also to include a patio overlooking the town. This suite enjoys great privacy and quietness.

MK 130 000

Asubila (suite) 62.5 ㎡

Asubila was originally a basement; our guest wing. It was intended as a stone house until our friends protested not to sleep in a room built with rock. The stone work was left on the outside, with a plastered feel on the inside. The suite was inspired by the construction engineer to replicate the underground garage. The rocks came from the site and also collected from the local area. This wing was a marvel to see as it took shape, and we hope our guests will have a similar experience in the suite.

MK 120 000

Makolo (Executive) 44.5 ㎡

This room belonged to the masterminds behind this house: the parents (Makolo, in Chichewa). Every character of this room matches their own elegance. Edrinnie, coming from a family that believed in staying home and bonding with each other and Dennis who found a best friend in his wife, they made sure their room was a little heaven, requiring them to leave it a lot less than needed. For long stays, a honeymoon and for space lovers or for those that pack a bag too many, this room is for you.

MK 85 000

Fundi (Deluxe) 18.5 ㎡

This used to be Fundi Wandisunga's room when she was a teenager. The room was originally bigger than it is now. When she first saw the raised walls, she felt the room was too big and had the wall knocked down to make it smaller, more intimate, which best suited her personality. The study room next door was then enlarged, which is now the beautiful ensuite bathroom. The breathtaking view of Mt Mulanje all the way to Lake Chilwa was always so peaceful and a source of inspiration for the creative teen that she was.

MK 75 000

Wali (Deluxe) 22.4 ㎡

This used to Wali's room when she was about 9 years old. Being very young at the time, she found a bigger room more appealing than one room with a view, mainly because she loved having sleepovers with her friends and having a small space would not accommodate the idea. Wali and her sister's room shared a bathroom in between their rooms, and the pathway leading to her sister's room was then closed off for the privacy of our guests. This room is spacious and is ideal for those that are claustrophobic or just prefer larger spaces.

MK 65 000

Alendo (Deluxe) 17.3 ㎡

This room as the name suggests was built for guests - alendo in Chichewa, and as per our culture you never know when guests pop up unannounced. It was built to accommodate especially those that could not share a room with the girls. Many have come and gone from this room, everyone with their unique experiences. It was specially given both a shower and bathtub for you to choose from; whether you need to soak in and relax or take a quick shower and head on out. This room is nice and snug for some peace and quiet.
